Roxie and Blanche here! We are two sage "Bells of the Fab Fifties" and we say life is far to short to do anything that isn't FUN!
If we can't do it with SASS and SPARKLE then it is not for us!
Enter fitness for REAL WOMEN, real sizes, real life! *Divacizze(C)! Promoting "fit for YOU" mentality and NOT being thin at ALL costs to you and your health.
Our beginning premise (because luvies, we are fab Divas out for fun) is to enjoy moving about for fitness in FUN and ENJOYABLE routines you look forward to!
THIS is what works for us: We're always eager to have great laughs whenever we can and "Prepping for our *Divacizze(C) program is NO exception!
Get Set, Ready, Go: Our chosen garb (fab threads y'all) is our ever popular Pink Feathered Boas, Super Sparkle Tiaras and RED Lipstick for must be basics! We like yoga type tops and pants and we luv walking shoes. (fluffy pink slippers slip tooooo much luvies).
What is your music era faves? For us it is the 50's (ahhhh yes tis sublime). Get YOUR music ready then add suggested routines below for starters!
Basic Starter Core Routines: Included in our rendition of our body core is from the thighs up to the chest area. Every routine we do is centered in our core area, we then add other movements to it.
1. Funky But Fun Sneaky Sneak: Begin with standing as tall as you can, head slightly tilted up, space feet a little past hip line, turn feet outward slightly, holding back straight, tighten stomach, bend knees........make fist/bend arms up and take 4 short steps forward and 4 steps back. RELAX ... START FROM BEGINNING and repeat several times. Add repetitions as you are ready and faster when you are ready. **Can be adapted to a CHAIR format as can all ROUTINES FOUND HEREIN!
2. Sneaky Sneak #2: Use routine #1 above with arms bent, tighten arm muscles swing/alternate each from about top of head back to mid waist area. **NOTE: As with all routine suggestions found in this article, you do NOT need to buy accessories to use in these routines!
2-B **DOUBLE NOTE: We use fave finds around our homes to incorporate into our routines: One fave is using our protein drink containers (we like Special K) as it is shaped great for our hands. Super clean empty containers, (strip plastic label off) fill 3/4 full with water and small amount of dish detergent (a clean diva is a fab diva) then we place rubber bands in center for an even better grip......use in all routines!
3. To the #1 basic routine CORE you can add and mix arm movements, torso turns etc. Use your imagination, SING along, LAUGH and ENJOY!
REMEMBER: All routines you create can be adapted to a CHAIR and or POOL ROUTINES!
Roxie and Blanche Divine Diva Beauty tips-N-tricks: Oh come on now....who couldn't use a couple of secret tricks here and there!
A. It didn't take our respective Cosmetology licenses to come up with these tips. It's all about life experiences, trials and errors and always being on the lookout for the most simple but most effective products and procedures.
A 1: Fab Faces: When people regularly comment on our nice skin and asking questions we always get a surprised look! First we do facial exercises based on the movements MEN make while shaving! YES LUVIES! God luv them for that...it is just that simple!
A 2: Soft, Sassy Diva Skin: We don't use expensive face creams and certainly NO surgical procedures for these two *Sage Divas! We use hair conditioner for hair, facial and skin care softener! **YOU need to test any product before applying all over FIRST! Right now we use Suaves new Proffessional line. We like the Rosemary content and scented line. We like the accompanying shampoo too, but also use the conditioner as a skin creme! We try all brands off and on and change around!
Roxie and Blanche's Self-Esteem TIP: NEVER start your day placing yourself last. Don't you believe for ONE minute that people believe your excuse: I don't have the time....the kids come first....no one will see me....ETC. YOUR SELF-WORTH will never begin without YOU BUILDING IT YOURSELF FIRST!
1. Get up early if you must but create your hair, face, clothes and ATTITUDE ready for the day.....WHETHER you leave the house or NOT! Benefits 100%...Opposites: 0.
The LOVE-N-HATE affair with HAIR PRODUCTS: As salon owners we used the very best products we believed in and used ourselves with success and satisfaction.
As with many companies, they get a little horsey and self-destructive time to time and CHANGE a great product content and THUS the outcome. It happens in MOST ALL product lines.
You will need to TRY DIFFERENT PRODUCTS to find which is BEST for you. There is NO OTHER WAY.
If ANY hair product does not leave your SCALP feeling good, your HAIR SHINY and with the hold you choose.......DUMP IT! Your hair should SHINE with a great product. TIP: Never over use a product, too much moose or glaze will give BAD results. Got Build-up? Bad build-up is hard to remove! TEST: For hair spray, hold container about 16 inches from a mirror......let dry....try to remove! TIP: If you have bad product build-up and can't get it out....add baking soda to your shampoo.
FOOD-O-RAMA: We LOVE FOOD! However we go "off the rails" sometimes and search for foods we love and can lower calories too. SOUPS have become our fave of choice along with a tad of salad/cheese/wheat bread.
1. Take your fave soups and "alter" them in various ways! Can be everso yummy! We take *Split Pea and Ham (we prefer Campbells) go more than directed with water and we add milk...then add Mrs. Dash Chilpote mix or some other seasoning...sometimes we add coconut oil. Mix and match and you can easily recount your calories too!
The above tips, tricks and suggestions should give you a good foundation to create to your personal life. Walk tall, smile greatly ADD SOME SASS and treat yourself with great respect!
